Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) unveiled two new long-range loitering munitions this week. HIT officially showcased the D-248 and S-369 kamikaze drones during the Indus Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Expo 2026. Consequently, these newly introduced systems now stand as Pakistan’s largest and longest-range loitering munitions.
Inside the New HIT Kamikaze Drones: The D-248 & The S-369
The D-248 utilizes a modern tailless delta-wing design. It delivers a massive operational range of 2,200 to 3,000 kilometers. Furthermore, this drone possesses a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 240 kilograms. It securely carries a payload capacity of 30 to 50 kilograms.
Additionally, the D-248 features a wingspan of 3.3 meters. It hits a maximum speed of 225 km/h and maintains a consistent cruising speed of 185 km/h. HIT confirms the system can remain airborne for 12 to 14 hours. Finally, it operates effectively at high altitudes reaching up to 4,500 meters.
Meanwhile, the S-369 adopts a distinct arrow-delta wing configuration. This kamikaze drone can successfully strike targets located between 1,500 and 2,000 kilometers away. It registers an MTOW ranging from 215 to 225 kilograms.
Similarly, it handles a 30 to 50-kilogram payload. However, it sports a noticeably larger 4-meter wingspan. The S-369 reaches a maximum speed of 220 km/h. It cruises steadily between 160 and 180 km/h. Like the D-248, this system easily flies at altitudes up to 4,500 meters.
