Honor GT 2 Series Tipped for December Launch with Snapdragon Chipset

Honor is reportedly preparing to unveil its next flagship lineup, the GT 2 series, in December. The upcoming lineup is said to include two models, the Honor GT 2 and the Honor GT 2 Pro. While the company has yet to confirm any details, fresh leaks have revealed key specifications that offer a glimpse of what’s coming.

According to the leaks, the standard Honor GT 2 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the same chip used in last year’s flagships. Meanwhile, the GT 2 Pro could debut with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, promising a noticeable jump in performance and efficiency.

Both smartphones are said to feature a metal body design and a 6.83-inch display with 1.5K resolution. For photography, the duo is rumored to include a 50MP main camera, though details about the secondary sensors remain unknown. One of the models is also expected to house a massive 9,000 mAh or larger battery, potentially offering exceptional battery life.

Sources further revealed that the GT 2 series may include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for improved security and faster unlocking. The devices are also expected to deliver full water resistance, possibly rated at IP68 or IP69, making them durable for everyday use.

Honor has not shared any official details or launch teasers yet, but the rumored specifications suggest the GT 2 lineup could become a strong contender in the premium smartphone category once it launches later this year.
