HP Gaming Garage Lab Opens at NASTP

HP, in collaboration with NASTP Pakistan and M&P, has launched the HP Gaming Garage Lab at the NASTP Institute of Information Technology (NIIT) in Lahore. This initiative is designed to enhance education in Esports Management and Game Development, equipping students with essential skills for careers in media, ICT, and gaming. Backed by the Pakistan Air Force, NASTP serves as a strategic national project, fostering partnerships between industry, academia, and government to position Pakistan as a key player in the regional technology sector.

As a global initiative, HP Gaming Garage aims to advance learning in game development and Esports management. In Pakistan, HP has provided state-of-the-art technology, including HP All-in-One PCs and Victus Gaming Laptops, alongside access to its online learning platform. This setup offers students hands-on experience and aligns their skills with the growing global gaming industry.

The gaming sector has seen tremendous growth, becoming a major economic and technological force. By 2026, the number of PC gamers worldwide is projected to reach 909 million, surpassing console gamers by 33%. The industry not only generates employment but also fosters innovation and skill development in various digital fields.

Speaking at the launch event, Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Asim Rana SI (M), Air Officer Commanding Central Air Command, underscored the increasing importance of gaming and Esports in today’s digital economy. He highlighted the need for modern infrastructure and skill-building opportunities to maximize the industry’s potential.

Nawaz Dhanji, HP Pakistan’s Country Business Manager, expressed enthusiasm about introducing HP Gaming Garage in Pakistan in partnership with M&P. He reiterated HP’s dedication to offering free educational programs in Game Development and Esports Management, ensuring students from diverse backgrounds gain access to digital learning opportunities.

Kamran Nishat, CEO and Managing Director at M&P, emphasized the importance of cutting-edge technology in nurturing young gaming talent. He praised the initiative as a significant step toward strengthening Pakistan’s digital economy, reinforcing M&P’s commitment to technological innovation.

The HP Gaming Garage Lab is expected to serve as a hub for aspiring game developers, esports professionals, and digital content creators in Pakistan. This collaboration between HP, NASTP, and M&P reflects a shared vision of blending technology with education, ensuring Pakistan remains a leader in gaming and digital advancements in the region.
