Huawei Mate X7 Set for Global Debut Next Month After China Launch

Huawei is preparing to take its newest foldable beyond China, with the global launch of the Mate X7 now locked in for December 11. The company confirmed the date through an Instagram announcement, revealing plans for a “Flagship Product Launch” event in Dubai, UAE.

The Mate X7 made its first appearance in China only a day ago, but Huawei is moving quickly to bring it to international markets. While the company has not shared the full list of launch regions, its UAE and Saudi Arabia divisions are already promoting the event on their websites. This suggests these two markets will likely be the first to receive the device.

The Mate X7 is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 9030 Pro chip and runs HarmonyOS 6. It carries a 5,525 mAh battery and includes two displays: an 8-inch foldable panel and a 6.49-inch cover screen. Huawei has also packed in five cameras to strengthen the phone’s imaging power.

On the back, the phone features a triple setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 40MP ultrawide camera. Two 8MP selfie cameras round out the hardware on both the foldable and cover sides.

With the Dubai launch approaching, Huawei appears ready to push its foldable lineup harder in global markets. The event should confirm wider availability plans and signal how aggressively the company aims to compete in the international foldable race.
