Huawei Nova 5 Pro may feature quad camera and a waterdrop notch display, renders leak

Well, the world’s 2nd largest phone maker Huawei is all set to unveil the Nova 5 series smartphones at a China exclusive event on June 21, where the tech giant is expected to lift the covers from the Huawei Nova 5 and Nova 5i. Ahead of the launch event, another smartphone dubbed as the Huawei Nova 5 Pro has also been listed on a leading Chinese e-commerce portal. And as of now, renders of the Huawei Nova 5 Pro have also surfaced online which details about the design of this new variant.

The latest renders leak suggests that the Nova 5 Pro might be unveiled in multiple color options with bright shades. As for the Huawei Nova 5 Pro, it has already been listed on JingDong Mall, but there is not much information available in terms of pricing and specifications. The listing states that the phone will be available in Dilemma Forest, Midsummer Purple, Bright Black, and Coral Orange color options.

It is likely that the Nova 5 Pro will come with a waterdrop notch display surrounded by slim bezels on its left, right, and top. The back of the smartphone seems to have a glass finish and is home to four cameras – one of which is likely a 3D ToF unit. The Nova 5 Pro doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner on its back, so it’s likely embedded in the screen, meaning the phone will come with an OLED panel.

Talking about the other upcoming phones, Huawei Nova 5 is shrouded in mystery. As per a fresh leak by a Slashleaks contributor, the Huawei Nova 5i will reportedly be powered by the Kirin 710 SoC, the Nova 5 will be powered by the Kirin 810 SoC, while the Nova 5 Pro will draw power from the Kirin 980 SoC.

The phone is shown packing quad rear cameras and a waterdrop notch up front. As of now, two versions of the Huawei Nova 5 Pro are listed on the website – 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. JingDong Mall is currently accepting pre-orders for the phone, but there is no word regarding its final price. The global launch is more likely to happen in emerging markets including Pakistan next month.
