Ignite – National Technology Fund, operating under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), has officially launched the 5th Digital Pakistan Cybersecurity Hackathon to identify cybersecurity talent, strengthen practical skills, and enhance Pakistan’s digital security ecosystem.
The nationwide initiative will feature hands-on cybersecurity training workshops in 16 cities, followed by Red Teaming and Blue Teaming competitions in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Quetta, and Peshawar.
The hackathon is open to students, cybersecurity professionals, security researchers, and technology enthusiasts, offering participants an opportunity to tackle real-world cybersecurity challenges and compete at the national level.
Awards and Incentives
Participants will compete for:
- PKR 12.5 million in cash prizes
- PKR 12 million in cybersecurity training coupons
- PKR 27 million in support for participation in international cybersecurity competitions
According to Ignite, the initiative aims to develop skilled cybersecurity professionals, promote ethical hacking, and strengthen Pakistan’s cyber resilience through practical learning and competitive challenges.
