Apple is preparing to release the first iOS 26.4 beta in the coming weeks, bringing early changes to Siri. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the update will introduce select parts of Apple’s new Gemini-powered Siri, giving developers their first look at the upgraded assistant.
Gurman reports that Apple plans to seed the iOS 26.4 beta to developers during the week of February 23, if no new delays arise. This timeline suggests Apple is moving ahead with its AI roadmap, even if the full vision is not ready yet.
The iOS 26.4 update will not include the complete Siri overhaul. However, it will let users test some of the new features built on Gemini technology. Apple has been working to make Siri more conversational and more aware of context. These early additions could signal how far the assistant has evolved.
The fully redesigned, chatbot-style Siri is expected to debut with iOS 27. Apple will likely unveil it at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June. That event often serves as the stage for major software announcements, especially those tied to iOS.
Meanwhile, iOS 27 will reportedly focus on stability and refinement. In addition to the new Siri experience, the update is said to prioritize bug fixes, internal code cleanup, subtle design improvements, and overall system performance gains. In other words, Apple appears to be balancing innovation with reliability.
If the February 23 beta release stays on track, developers will soon get their first hands-on experience with the next phase of Siri.
