Apple’s affordable iPhone is once again in the spotlight. In recent weeks, several leaks have shared key details about the iPhone 17e. Now, new information backs up many of those earlier claims.
The iPhone 17e is expected to run on Apple’s A19 chipset. This upgrade should bring better speed and smoother performance than the previous model. At the same time, Apple may finally add MagSafe charging to the 17e. The iPhone 16e did not support MagSafe, so this would be a welcome change for many users.
There are also updates inside the phone. The iPhone 17e will reportedly use Apple’s latest in-house cellular and wireless chips, called C1X and N1. By using its own chips, Apple keeps more control over how the device performs. This shift could also improve efficiency and connectivity.
Even with these changes, the price may stay the same. The iPhone 17e is expected to launch at $599, just like its predecessor. That keeps it in the same affordable range within Apple’s lineup.
The launch may happen very soon. Recent leaks suggest a February 19 debut, which means Apple could make an announcement shortly.
In terms of design, buyers should not expect a big shift. The iPhone 17e is said to skip the Dynamic Island feature. Instead, it will keep a design that looks very similar to the iPhone 16e. Apple seems to be focusing more on internal upgrades than on changing the overall look.
