iPhone Fold Could Break Records as Apple’s Most Expensive iPhone

Apple is reportedly preparing its first foldable iPhone, expected to launch next year under the name iPhone Fold. Early estimates suggest the device will carry a premium price, reflecting its advanced design and components.

According to a Fubon Research analyst, who analyzed supply chain data and Apple’s margin targets, the iPhone Fold could cost around $2,399. This positions it above the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, which starts at $1,999, highlighting Apple’s tendency to price its flagship devices at a premium.

Fubon Research attributes the higher cost to the foldable’s display panel, hinge mechanism, and lightweight materials. Despite the price, the analyst projects Apple could sell 15.4 million units, with 5.4 million expected in 2026 alone.

The iPhone Fold could be the most expensive device in Apple’s lineup yet, due to its advanced materials and engineering. It is rumored to feature a crease-free 7.58-inch flexible display, alongside a 5.8-inch cover screen. The foldable iPhone is also expected to house a larger battery than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, promising both innovation and longer usability.
