Kingston Digital, the USB flash-drive manufacturer giant, has announced launching the World’s largest, in capacity, USB flash drive for the general masses during the ongoing CES 2017.
The newly introduced Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate GT boosts a rocketing 2 TB of storage capability. The flash-drive is a USB 3.0, made through a USB Type-A connector. However, the fact that it lacks the more sophisticated USB Type-C, can put you in a run for a secondary dongle. The USB has been encased in a Zinc-alloy metal case to provide safeguards against undue shocks.
A smaller 1 TB sibling was also being launched along with the 2 TB DataTraveler Ultimate GT. The 2 TB USB drive will be able to store about a 70 hour-video of 4K video. Both the drives will start shipping worldwide, starting February this year and will also have a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Although there hasn’t been a word on their pricing, but we can as well anticipate that it would be priced above $1,000.
CES, Consumer Electronics Show, is the biggest electronics event that has been happening in January every year in Las Vegas, USA. This year the show is currently ongoing. Electronics of all types and from all offerers are put on show during the said global event.
