Metro Bus service in Lahore has been suspended for the entire day due to security and administrative arrangements for the Urs and Chehlum of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA).
Authorities confirmed that the complete Metro Bus route, along with all stations, has been temporarily closed. The service will remain shut throughout the day as part of measures to manage the large gathering of devotees expected at the shrine.
Despite the suspension, other public transport options in the city remain operational.
The Orange Line Train service is running as per normal schedule, with operations continuing without disruption. Speedo Bus service is also functioning normally across all routes and remains available for commuters.
Meanwhile, the Metro Bus service in Rawalpindi will be partially suspended today in view of the main Chehlum procession of Imam Hussain (AS).
According to Metro Bus officials, service will remain suspended between Saddar Station and Faizabad, while the route from IJP Road to the Pak Secretariat will continue to operate as normal.
Authorities have advised citizens to plan alternate transport arrangements and account for traffic disruptions before undertaking travel today.
