LG has unveiled its 2026 Gram laptop lineup ahead of CES, pushing the limits of ultra-lightweight design while improving durability and adding AI-driven features. The series, long praised for its feather-light build, now focuses on stronger materials and smarter functionality for everyday users.
A key update is the introduction of Aerominum, a new magnesium-aluminum alloy inspired by aerospace engineering. LG says the material makes laptops lighter yet more durable, with better scratch resistance. Several 2026 Gram models have even passed military-grade durability tests, highlighting their reliability for daily use.
AI now plays a bigger role across the lineup. Some models are certified as Microsoft Copilot+ PCs, combining cloud AI with on-device intelligence. LG’s own Gram Chat uses the EXAONE 3.5 small language model and works offline, helping users with productivity and creative tasks. The company has also enhanced Gram Link, making file sharing and screen mirroring easier across Android, iOS, and LG webOS devices.
The 2026 lineup offers multiple configurations. This includes the LG Gram Pro AI in 17-inch and 16-inch sizes, the 16-inch Gram Pro 360 AI, Gram AI models in 14-inch and 15-inch versions, and the Gram Book AI. Among them, the North America-exclusive LG Gram Pro AI 17 (17Z90UR) stands out as the lightest 17-inch laptop with discrete graphics. It packs an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 and a 2560 x 1600 LCD in a body closer to a 16-inch laptop. The 16-inch Gram Pro AI weighs just 1,199 grams and features a 77Wh battery with a 2880 x 1800 OLED display.
LG will showcase the new Gram lineup at CES 2026, starting January 6. Wider availability is expected soon after the event.
