LinkedIn has continued quietly developing its Brand Kit feature inside Campaign Manager, giving marketers a way to set their core brand colors, fonts, and brand voice guidelines that LinkedIn’s AI system then uses when generating ads and content automatically. The feature remains in limited availability for selected users but signals a significant shift in how LinkedIn approaches AI-powered content creation for business advertisers.
LinkedIn describes the feature’s core value clearly: “Brand kit in Campaign Manager allows you to set your brand’s core assets such as color palette, fonts, and brand voice to help your ads stay consistently aligned with your brand.”
The platform also notes an automated starting point for new users:
“When you open brand kits for the first time, LinkedIn automatically assembles your brand voice from your existing LinkedIn presence including past content and your Company Page.”
In other words, businesses that have been active on LinkedIn for years already have a starting brand identity the system can detect and apply, without requiring manual configuration from scratch.
The practical benefit LinkedIn highlights is efficiency.
“Brand kits can save you time and reduce off-brand mistakes by ensuring AI-drafted ads and assets are on-brand without manual rework,” the company said.
Marketers who manage multiple campaigns across different team members stand to gain the most, since Brand Kit functions as an automated guardrail that keeps AI-generated output within approved visual and tonal boundaries.
The feature arrives alongside a broader tension LinkedIn has not fully resolved. The platform recently introduced new measures to limit the reach of AI-generated content in its feed, simultaneously offering users an expanding suite of tools to generate and refine posts using AI inside the same platform.
Brand Kit sits firmly in the AI-assistance camp rather than the full-automation camp, since a human still defines the brand parameters the system works within, though the line will become harder to maintain as AI tools become more capable and more of the creative process shifts to the system.
