The sharp increase has placed an additional burden on households already struggling with rising inflation. Consumers say the shortage of piped gas has forced many families to rely on LPG for cooking and other daily needs.
Citizens have expressed frustration over having to purchase expensive LPG while continuing to pay their regular gas bills. They claim that LPG is not readily available in the market at the officially notified rate, leaving consumers with little choice but to pay higher prices.
The situation has created a double financial burden for households, particularly those in areas experiencing inadequate gas supply. With everyday expenses already rising, the additional cost of LPG is putting further pressure on family budgets.
Consumers have urged authorities to take immediate action against sellers charging above the official rate. They have also demanded stronger monitoring and a crackdown on profiteers to ensure LPG is made available to the public at the government-approved price.
