Marvel Rivals is officially one year old. To celebrate this milestone, NetEase Games has released a massive anniversary update. The patch, Version 20251127, is live right now. Best of all, there was no server downtime. You can simply update your client and jump straight into the action.
Here is everything you need to know about “Rivals’ Day 2025“, the new game mode, and the Black Friday sales launching today.
The biggest gameplay addition is sheer chaos. The update introduces a new mode called 18v18 Annihilation. This domination-style showdown puts 36 players on the field at once.
Alongside this massive mode, players can battle on a brand-new map, Grand Garden. This mode offers a fresh way to build teams and face off like never before.

NetEase is generous with this celebration. Players can earn up to 2,500 Units during the event. However, keep an eye on your currency bar. Some units are “Limited-Time” and must be spent before the event ends.
Important Update (Nov 28):
Following player feedback, NetEase has adjusted the Rivals Assemble event mechanics. These changes are scheduled to be live before November 28 ends.
- Easier Progression: The Member Mission requirement to “Log in for 3 days” has been reduced to 2 days.
- Crew Cycling: Once you join a crew and complete all tasks, you will automatically leave that crew. You can then join a new crew to start a new round of tasks until you earn all rewards.
Here is the breakdown of how to grab your free currency:
A new event pass, “Jeff’s Break Time”, is now active. You can earn experience by playing matches to unlock tokens for a virtual vending machine.
Since today is November 28, the Black Friday Blowout has officially begun. This is the game’s first Black Friday sale. You can score an initial 20% discount on items from Season 3 or earlier. Furthermore, eligible purchases earn you coupons. These coupons stack, offering bigger savings as you buy more.
Additionally, the Season 1 Battle Pass has made a limited-time return. If you missed the “Darkhold” pass previously, you can purchase it now via the “Nexus” in the Battle Pass interface.
New bundles are also available in the shop starting today:
