Lahore police raided and shut down an illegal manufacturing plant in the Township area that produced counterfeit imported food items.
The facility manufactured fake versions of Pringles potato chips, Nutella chocolate spread, and Lotus Biscoff biscuits. Operators at the site also tampered with expiration dates before distributing the products to the market.
Law enforcement officers seized and destroyed large quantities of the counterfeit goods during the operation. The owner of the facility was arrested at the scene, and a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against him.
The raid aligns with directives from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to eliminate unsafe and counterfeit food products from the market.
