Microsoft is offering students in Pakistan a chance to win a 5-month paid internship while learning some technical skills as well through its Learn for Success Program.

“Learn for Success” is an initiative by Microsoft for students to win exciting awards and a chance to gain some serious skills and exposure at one of the biggest tech giant in the world. The program is open for any 18 or above student, residing in Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon or Saudia Arabia.

If you are over 18 and reside in Pakistan, you can win a five-month paid internship of $400/month at the Microsoft Developer Experience and Evangelism (DX) department through the Learn for Success competition. You also have to be enrolled as a student at an accredited educational institution in Pakistan that grants high-school or college/university (or equivalent) degrees. If you meet the desired requirements, just follow the steps given below to sign-up for the competition,

How to apply for Learn for Success internship?

  1. Register at Microsoft Learn for Success.
  2. Take Learn for Success challenges on TechRewards platform.
  3. Make your way up to the top of the Heroes Leaderboard.

Note: Remember to sign-in with the same Microsoft email on each platform.

The challenges consist of learning things like basic concepts of Microsoft Azure, creating and consuming modules with Node.js, converting a Windows 8.1 app to a universal windows app, etc. Each challenge will win you around 200 to 400 points.

The deadline for the program is 30th of June, 2016 at 11:59 PM (GMT). After that, only two students with the most points will be selected for the internship and the names of the winners will be posted on Microsoft Learn for Success. The internship itself spans a period of five months from July to December.
