PC gamers have excellent opportunities to expand their libraries this week. The holiday season generosity has extended into January. Both Steam and the Epic Games Store are currently offering popular titles completely free of charge. However, these free games/offers are time-sensitive.
Steam users can currently claim Initial Drift Online for free. You have until January 18 at 12:00 pm CST / 11:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time to add this title to your account. The game normally costs $4.99, so this is a solid chance to save money.
Released in 2023, Initial Drift Online is a racing MMO. It features a “semi-open world” setting in Japan. Players can navigate iconic locations, including Mt. Haruna, Mt. Akagi, and the road to Irohazaka. The gameplay loop focuses on earning money to purchase cars and customisation options. You can compete with other players online and battle for leaderboard dominance.
The game boasts a day/night cycle and “realistic but dynamic physics”. It currently holds “Mostly Positive” reviews on the platform. The developer released this offer to build hype for their next game, Akina. Akina is an arcade racer set in early 90s Japan, expected to launch in early 2026. Fans can also expect a crossover update between the two games soon.
While Steam’s giveaways are random, the Epic Games Store follows a strict schedule. You still have time to grab the current freebie, Bloons TD 6. This offer expires tomorrow, January 15, at 10:00 am CST / 9:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time.
Once Bloons TD 6 cycles out, two new games will replace it immediately.
Both titles will be free from January 15 to January 22. Developed by Cyanide, these are stealth games. While they received mixed reviews at launch, they remain a great pickup for fans of the stealth genre.
Make sure to log in and claim these titles before the deadlines pass. Steam’s window is decent, but missing the cut-off means paying full price.
