Grok 3 is reportedly delivering a tenfold increase in processing power compared to its predecessor, placing it alongside advanced AI models like DeepSeek in China.
Speaking at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Elon Musk highlighted the chatbot’s impressive capabilities, remarking, “At times, I think Grok 3 is scary smart.”
Reportedly, XAI’s Colossus supercomputer uses more than 100,000 Nvidia GPU hours to train AI models, and it is supposed to be used by the Grok 3 chatbot. Musk emphasized that the system took little more than eight months to create.
After the debut, Musk made a post on the microblogging site X, stating, “The @xAI Grok 3 release will improve rapidly every day this week.” Please report any issues as a reply to this post.”
Musk received a response from Google CEO Sundar Pichai. He said, “Congrats on the progress! look forward to trying it out”.
Grok 3 is now being rolled out to Premium Plus subscribers on X, starting today. To ensure access to all the latest features, users are advised to update their X app.
Elon Musk emphasized the importance of keeping the app up to date, stating, “Make sure to update your X app to explore all the advanced features, as we’ve just released the update.”
In addition to this, Musk announced a new subscription tier for AI enthusiasts: Super Grok. He explained, “We’re launching a separate subscription called Super Grok for dedicated fans who want the most advanced capabilities and earliest access to new features. This is available for both the Grok app and our new website, grok.com.”
For those who prefer a more refined experience, Musk suggested waiting a little longer before diving in. “If you’re looking for a more polished version, it might be worth waiting a week, but expect improvements every day,” he noted.
Another major development in the pipeline is voice interaction for Grok 3. Musk shared his firsthand experience with the feature, saying, “We’re also working on a voice interaction feature so you can have a conversational experience. I tried it earlier today, and it’s working pretty well, though it still needs some polish. The goal is to make it so you can talk to it just like you would a person. I think it’s going to be one of the best experiences with Grok3, but that should be about a week away.”
