Netflix has rolled out a new feature for iPhone and iPad users, enabling them to download entire seasons of their favorite TV shows with a single tap. This announcement comes shortly after the streaming service reported a record-breaking 19 million new subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2024, attaining a global total of 302 million paid subscribers. This feature was previously restricted to Android users.
The “Season Download” button is now available in the Netflix app, located right next to the “Share” button on the display page of a show. Choosing this option allows users to swiftly download every episode from a selected season of their favorite TV series.
It’s important for users to remember that the complete downloaded season can be found in the “Downloads” section located under the “My Netflix” tab. This new feature holds great importance for travelers and those who frequently encounter challenges with limited or no internet access.
Previously, iOS users faced the limitation of downloading just one episode at a time, which made the whole process quite tedious. Users can now download extended series like “The Blacklist,” featuring a total of 22 episodes in each season. Netflix first rolled out offline viewing in 2016 and has been consistently enhancing the downloading experience with new features ever since.
