Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 5 series

Redmi’s next Turbo phones are taking shape as new leaks sharpen the picture around their core hardware. Fresh claims now point to unannounced MediaTek chipsets for both models, adding momentum to rumors that have circulated for months.

According to the source, the Redmi Turbo 5 will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 SoC. The higher-end Turbo 5 Pro is expected to feature the Dimensity 9500e chipset. Notably, MediaTek has not announced either processor yet, which suggests official details may still be weeks away.

Launch timing remains unclear, however. One recent rumor says Xiaomi could unveil the Redmi Turbo 5 series alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra on December 25. Another leak contradicts that timeline and claims the phones will arrive in January 2026 instead.

Earlier reports have also outlined the hardware direction for the standard Turbo 5. The phone is said to feature a 6.6-inch display with 1.5K resolution. It may also include a metal frame, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and a 7,500mAh battery.

The Redmi Turbo 5 Pro appears positioned as a battery-focused upgrade. Leaks suggest it will pack a 9,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging support. It is also tipped to offer a metal frame, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and an LTPS OLED display with 1.5K resolution.

More clarity should emerge once MediaTek and Xiaomi make their next moves official.
