New Leak Details iPhone Fold’s Nearly Crease-Free Display

Published by

Apple has long stayed away from foldable phones, struggling with one key challenge: managing screen creases. That may finally change this year. The company is rumored to launch its first foldable, the iPhone Fold, featuring a display that bends almost seamlessly, thanks to Samsung’s advanced folding technology.

A fresh leak from China today suggests the fold is nearly flawless. The crease measures under 0.15mm, with a fold angle below 2.5 degrees. While not completely crease-free, it comes remarkably close to a smooth, uninterrupted screen.

The iPhone Fold is expected to debut in September, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e may follow in spring 2027. Design details indicate an iPhone Air-style camera island with two sensors. For security, Apple appears to include Touch ID built into the power button on the device’s right side.

With its near-creaseless display and familiar Apple design cues, the iPhone Fold could finally bring the company into the foldable market. Its launch could reshape expectations for foldable smartphones in the years ahead.
