Poco’s next X-series phones are starting to take shape; a new leak hints at bigger batteries, fast charging, and hardware that mirrors Redmi’s Turbo lineup. If the leak proves accurate, the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max could push the brand further into power-user territory.
According to the information, the Poco X8 Pro will feature a 6,500 mAh battery. In comparison, the Poco X8 Pro Max could carry a much larger 8,500 mAh battery. Both models are expected to support 100W wired charging, which should help offset the time needed to fill such large cells.
The leak also suggests that the Poco X8 Pro may be a rebranded Redmi Turbo 5. Similarly, the Poco X8 Pro Max could be based on the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. However, both Poco variants are said to include slightly smaller batteries than their Redmi counterparts. Even so, the capacities remain significant. Notably, the 8,500 mAh unit would mark the largest battery ever placed inside a Poco device.
If the hardware closely follows the Redmi Turbo series, the Poco X8 Pro could sport a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1268×2756 resolution. The screen may offer a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,840Hz PWM dimming, and up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness. Powering the device could be the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 SoC.
It may ship with 12GB or 16GB of RAM, alongside 256GB or 512GB of storage. For photography, the phone is expected to include a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 20MP selfie camera.
Meanwhile, the Poco X8 Pro Max could step up with a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display at 1280×2772 resolution. It should retain the same 120Hz refresh rate, 3,840Hz PWM, and 3,500-nit peak brightness. The device is tipped to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s SoC. RAM and storage options may mirror the X8 Pro, offering 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. The camera system is also expected to remain unchanged.
