Nokia MWC event teasers shed light on penta-camera setup of Nokia 9

Nokia has officially announced that it will be attending the Mobile World Congress (MWC) and their event on 24th February will be live-streamed throughout the world and anyone can join in. Chief Product Officer of HMD Global Juho Sarvikas made the announcement in a rather sarcastic tweet.

Mobile World Congress is held every year in Barcelona and it is an important time for manufacturers to showcase their best products. Given below is the announcement tweet by CPO Juho on Twitter:

Two event teasers have also emerged on the internet, one of them pertains to the upcoming flagship Nokia 9 whereas the other is a phone with a punch-hole display. It is unclear whether it refers to the same flagship or is different. The Nokia 9 render, showcasing the penta-camera setup can be viewed below:

There are also talks about the Nokia 1. So in essence, we might see 3 devices in total from Nokia during this year’s MWC. The Nokia 9 will be the one to look out for as it will rival the likes of Samsung Galaxy S10 and the upcoming flagships from competitors. It will most likely be Nokia’s strongest showing since being acquired by HMD Global.
