NUST convocation awards degrees to 215 graduates

The National Univerity of Science and Technology (NUST) recently handed over 215 degrees to its graduates on completing Bachelors, Masters and PhD. The recently concluded combined convocation held at School of Chemical & Materials Engineering (SCME) and School of Art, Design and Architecture (SADA), held at NUST’s main campus celebrated this prestigious moment with their graduates.

Students from Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Architecture and Industrial Design were provided awarded their degrees. Chief guest by Lt Gen (Retd) Ikram-ul-Haq while addressing the convocation congratulated the students, parents and faculty on this auspicious occasion. The secetery defense further urged the students to contribute to the well-being of their country through their knowledge and skills and never compromise on their moral values. He concluded this by advising the alumini to explore new realms of knowledge and transcend themselves as professionals to the best of their ability.

The rector of NUST, Lt Gen Naweed Zaman, HI (M), (Retd), Rector NUST, also took to the stage and appreciated efforts of the the graduates while also mentioning NUST’s day-night effort to become on of the best institutions in the world. NUST has been continuously performing well in the QS Asian university rankings for the past five years. The University is a comprehensive, academic and research-led institution and provides of disciplines in various departments to its graduates.

Last month, NUST was included in the top 100 universities in Asia. NUST climbed to 87th position from its 112th position last year, in a 2019-based ranking by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
