Oppo has added another device to its growing A6 lineup with the quiet launch of the Oppo A6k in China. This new model continues the company’s focus on large batteries and balanced performance. It brings a 7,000mAh battery and runs on the Dimensity 6300 chipset, aiming to deliver strong endurance alongside everyday performance.
The Oppo A6k features a 6.75-inch LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. It offers HD+ resolution and reaches up to 1,125 nits of peak brightness. In addition, the phone carries an IP69 rating, which ensures strong protection against dust and water in demanding conditions.
The Dimensity 6300 processor powers the device, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Storage options go up to 512GB using UFS 2.2 technology. Moreover, users can expand storage further through a microSD card slot, which adds flexibility for heavy media users.
On the camera side, Oppo has equipped the A6k with a dual rear setup. It includes a 50MP primary sensor with autofocus for detailed shots. Alongside it sits a 2MP monochrome sensor. For selfies, the phone carries an 8MP front camera, which supports everyday photo and video needs.
Battery life stands out as one of the main highlights. The device packs a large 7,000mAh battery, which supports 45W wired fast charging. As a result, users can expect long usage with relatively quick charging times. Furthermore, the phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for fast unlocking. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The device runs ColorOS 15 out of the box, offering a modern software experience.
Oppo offers the A6k in three color options: Dawn Gold, Twilight Blue, and Seashell White. The device is already available in China through Oppo’s official online store.
Pricing varies based on configuration. The 8GB/256GB variant is priced at CNY 1,999 ($290). Meanwhile, the 8GB/512GB model costs CNY 2,199 ($320). In addition, a 12GB/256GB version is available at CNY 2,399 ($350), giving users more choice depending on their performance and storage needs.
