Oppo released its new selfie expert Oppo F5 a month ago at an affordable price range and AI-powered 20MP front camera. Now, the company has unveiled another camera-centric phone Oppo F5 Youth with a 16MP front camera but with even lower cost.

The newly launched Oppo F5 Youth features almost same specs and features like the regular Oppo F5 but with few exceptions. The Oppo F5 Youth features a 6-inch display with a full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T (Helio P23) SoC, combined with 3GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB).

One of the major change that distinguishes the Oppo F5 Youth from the F5 is its inferior camera specifications. The new phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with a f/2.2 aperture lens and an LED flash. While the phone packs a 16-megapixel front camera with a f/2.0 aperture lens. However, unlike youth edition, the regular F5 was launched with a 16-megapixel rear camera sensor and a 20-megapixel front camera.

The Oppo F5 Youth runs on Android Nougat 7.1 with Color OS 3.2. The phone features a fingerprint scanner on the back while it can also be unlocked through user’s face. The battery is similar to F5 i.e. 3,200 mAh.

The Oppo F5 Youth is right now available in the Philippines in Black and Gold colors for $275. However, the phone will soon be available for purchase in other emerging markets. As for now, Oppo F5 is available for sale in Pakistan in 31,900 PKR.
