OZ Developers has officially entered Pakistan Super League (PSL) history after acquiring the Sialkot franchise for Rs1.85 billion, making it the newest owner in the league’s expanded eight-team structure. The high-value bid reflects growing corporate confidence in PSL as one of Pakistan’s strongest sports brands.

The Pakistan Super League expanded its footprint on Thursday as two new franchises were awarded through a competitive auction process. OZ Developers secured the Sialkot team with the highest bid, while FKS Group purchased the Hyderabad franchise for Rs1.75 billion. With these additions, the PSL now features eight teams, strengthening its commercial and regional reach ahead of future seasons.

According to the Pakistan Super League’s official broadcast, the auction attracted strong interest from major corporate groups, highlighting the league’s increasing financial and brand value.

OZ Developers (Pvt) Ltd. is a Lahore-based real estate development company led by Chairman Hamza Majeed. The firm has built a reputation for high-rise urban projects and innovation in property development.

Speaking during the PSL auction coverage, officials highlighted that the successful bids reflect long-term confidence in the league’s commercial future. With established franchises like Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, and Multan Sultans already in place, the addition of Sialkot and Hyderabad is expected to boost regional engagement and sponsorship interest.

The Sialkot franchise, owned by OZ Developers, is expected to play a key role in expanding PSL’s fan base in Punjab’s industrial heartland.
