The Pakistan Influencer Awards officially launched in Karachi on Friday. The platform aims to recognize digital creators based on their impact, content quality, and influence rather than follower counts alone.
The initiative comes as Pakistan’s creator economy continues to grow. Organizers say the awards will use a data-based evaluation process instead of relying only on popularity. The framework will measure engagement, consistency, community influence, educational value, and audience reach across different groups.
According to the organizers, the awards will also focus on credibility and transparency. An advisory board of media and industry professionals will oversee the evaluation process. The platform is also supported by industry partners, research experts, and other stakeholders.
The launch event included keynote sessions, panel discussions, and a music performance. Talha Aslam, Chief Curator of the Pakistan Influencer Awards, introduced the vision behind the platform.
Several advisory board members also shared their views during the event. They included Fouad Husain, Chief Executive Officer of Starcrest Communications (Pvt.) Ltd., Hasan Rizvi, Chief Executive Officer of BBPR Pakistan, and Jerjees Seja, Chief Executive Officer of ARY Digital Network.
Faraz Bashir, Director of Data, Insights and Evaluation, explained the awards framework. Hassaan Azhar, Director of Partnerships and Growth, discussed industry partnerships and the commercial model. Abdul Sattar Babar, Chief Executive Officer of Ipsos in Pakistan, outlined the research, audit, and transparency process that will support the awards.
Speaking at the event, Talha Aslam said the platform aims to recognize creators while encouraging higher standards across Pakistan’s digital content industry. He added that the initiative hopes to promote credibility, transparency, and responsible influence for creators, brands, and audiences.
The event also introduced the Pakistan Influencer Awards brand identity and trophy. Later, Dino Ali hosted a discussion with creators Asad Memon, Bilal Munir, Junaid Akram, and Natasha Lakhani. They discussed the growth of digital content and the changing creator landscape in Pakistan.
