Pakistan mobile phone assembly landscape is witnessing a dramatic transformation in 2025. New data reveals a sharp brand-wise reshuffle, consolidating the market into a two-brand heavyweight contest.
According to fresh statistics for January to October 2025, Infinix and VGO TEL have strengthened their grip on the sector. In contrast, formerly strong contenders like iTel, alongside mid-tier players Samsung, Nokia, and Redmi, are losing significant ground.
Infinix has emerged as the undisputed market leader. The brand produced 31.2 million units in the first ten months of 2025 alone. While this is slightly below its exceptional surge of 39.9 million in 2024, Infinix remains the fastest-growing brand with massive multi-year growth since 2023.
VGO TEL is firmly securing the runner-up spot. The brand produced 28.2 million units between Jan-Oct 2025. Despite a mild correction from its 2024 peak of 33.7 million, VGO TEL maintains a sustained upward trajectory, effectively distancing itself from the competition.
Meanwhile, TECNO shows signs of stabilisation. After a dip, it has produced 2.06 million units so far in 2025. Although it trails its 2024 numbers, the brand remains in the race and is on track to exceed its 2023 production levels.
The most shocking development is the crash of iTel. Once a top contender, iTel suffered the sharpest decline among major players. Production plummeted to 22.1 million units in Jan-Oct 2025, down from a high of 36.6 million in 2024. Consequently, iTel has slid to a distant third place, leaving a wide gap behind the top two leaders.
Other well-known brands are also struggling to keep pace:
Analysts observe that the market is rapidly consolidating. The decline of iTel has cracked the market open, leaving mid-tier brands unable to compete on volume, pricing, or distribution.
As the ecosystem matures, the data paints a clear picture: Infinix and VGO TEL are pulling further ahead, turning Pakistan mobile manufacturing into a dominance of just two major heavyweights.
