Pakistan Post E-Commerce Program Crosses 1500 Partners

The inspiring initiative of Pakistan Post to help the emerging e-commerce entrepreneurs has already started. Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services, Murad Saeed said it will create a win-win opportunity for Pakistan Post and flourish the local e-commerce market.

The program is greatly appreciated by the young and emerging entrepreneurs who are trying to start their own venture. In this short period, 1550 e-commerce companies have registered themselves in this partnership with Pakistan Post. According to the officials of postal services, they are getting a great number of applications and registrations but they are shortlisting candidates. Of course, they have a structure and criteria that candidates have to adhere to.

The platform is providing the young entrepreneurs’ opportunity to utilize the great services of Pakistan Post expended in the whole country. Murad Saeed also said, “To improve its financial health and make it a commercially viable entity and profitable institution, we are capitalizing on the strength of this organisation by utilizing its vast footprint, wide and best delivery network, and its round-the-clock cash remittance service.”

Reports released in May revealed that the E-commerce industry has helped Pakistan Post gain Rs. 6 billion in its revenue this year. The launch of the new Pakistan Post mobile application for Android has won the confidence of many renowned businessmen across the country.

Director General Pakistan Post Dr Naseer Ahmed mentioned the countless initiatives Pakistan Post has taken to improve its services and enhanced gains for Pakistan Post by providing equal opportunities to benefit e-commerce businesses. He added that Pakistan Post has also received partnership offers from international companies, “Many international web portal operators have shown their interest to enter into Pakistan market with Pakistan Post as their delivery partner.”

Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services, Murad Saeed, has put in tremendous efforts and taken many initiatives to mobilize and revive postal services. Before the launch of this initiative, Pakistan Post expected e-commerce sales to hit $1 billion in 2018.
