Pakistan’s motorcycle industry posted its strongest performance on record during fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26), with motorcycle and three-wheeler sales reaching an all-time high amid improving economic conditions and rising consumer demand.
According to data released by Arif Habib Limited, motorcycle sales climbed to 1.932 million units during FY26, surpassing the previous record of 1.853 million units set in FY21.
When three-wheelers are included, total industry sales reached a record 1.974 million units, marking the highest annual sales volume in Pakistan’s history.
The record-breaking sales reflect a strong recovery following the slowdown experienced in FY23 and FY24.
Market analysts attributed the rebound to easing inflation, improved consumer purchasing power, and a gradual recovery in economic activity, which encouraged more consumers to purchase new vehicles.
Atlas Honda remained the country’s dominant motorcycle manufacturer, selling a record 1.69 million motorcyclesduring FY26.
The company captured nearly 88% of the total motorcycle market, further strengthening its position as Pakistan’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer.
United Auto ranked second with 190,800 units sold during the fiscal year.
In the three-wheeler category, Sazgar Engineering retained its market leadership by recording sales of 28,600 unitsduring FY26.
The record sales are being viewed as a positive sign for Pakistan’s manufacturing sector and broader economy, reflecting stronger consumer confidence, increased household spending, and continued recovery in the domestic automotive market.
