US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker met Minister of State Bilal Bin Saqib, who heads the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, on Sunday to discuss developments in Pakistan’s digital asset regulation.
The meeting reflects growing engagement between the two countries on building a secure and sustainable framework for the virtual asset market.
Mr Saqib briefed the US envoy on progress in Pakistan’s digital assets sector and the efforts to establish a modern, robust and transparent regulatory framework. The initiative aims to align Pakistan’s virtual asset market with international standards.
The two sides also discussed the wider digital economy, with a focus on innovation and financial transparency.
