The controversy erupted when Fatik Owais, a fellow LinkedIn user, publicly called out Zaidi for allegedly fabricating his employment at Google, sparking widespread debate over online credibility.
Initially, skepticism surrounded Zaidi’s claim, as his post lacked any acknowledgment from Google employees who would have recruited or on boarded him. Fatik Owais further pointed out that Zaidi claimed he was hired as a UX Designer despite having no prior experience in the field, raising additional concerns about the legitimacy of his employment. This discrepancy fueled suspicions, leading users to question the authenticity of his job appointment.
Further controversy unfolded when a LinkedIn user challenged Zaidi in the comments, asking for validation. Instead of addressing concerns, Zaidi allegedly deleted the comment, further amplifying doubts. Many interpreted this as an indirect admission of guilt, reinforcing the belief that the job claim was false.
Despite the controversy, Karachi School of Art had earlier shared the news of Zaidi’s hiring, adding another layer of intrigue. While some media pages rushed to report the appointment without verification, others questioned the authenticity of the claim, highlighting the increasing issue of misinformation in digital spaces.
Following the backlash, it appears that Raza Zaidi has deactivated his LinkedIn profile. Users attempting to access his account are now met with a 404 error message stating, “This page doesn’t exist.” This sudden disappearance has only fueled further speculation, with many believing it to be an attempt to avoid further scrutiny.
