PCB Announces New OTT Platform for Cricket Fans Worldwide

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is stepping into the digital future with plans to launch its own OTT streaming platform, aimed at transforming how cricket content is consumed globally. The board has issued a tender, inviting proposals from top international firms with expertise in developing high-quality OTT solutions.

This move highlights the PCB’s commitment to enhancing fan engagement through a scalable, user-friendly OTT streaming platform. The platform will feature advanced in-app functionalities, ensuring seamless streaming, distribution, and monetization of cricket content for audiences worldwide.

The PCB is seeking firms with proven experience in digital sports streaming, particularly those with collaborations involving leading cricket organizations. This initiative aligns with the global trend of sports bodies launching dedicated OTT services to deliver exclusive content directly to fans.

The tender document, available free of charge during working hours (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST) until February 28, 2025, outlines all project details. Interested firms must submit applications by 11:00 AM PST on March 5, 2025, with evaluations starting at 11:30 AM PST the same day. Queries must be submitted in writing before the deadline, with only official responses considered valid.

By introducing its OTT streaming platform, the PCB aims to take full control of its digital content, reducing reliance on third-party platforms. The service will offer live matches, highlights, behind-the-scenes footage, and exclusive cricket content, catering to fans across the globe.
