Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is preparing to expand its flight operations to Europe and the United Kingdom as the airline looks to increase its fleet and strengthen its international network.
Sources said PIA is considering leasing five aircraft from international companies before adding new planes to its fleet. Two aircraft are reportedly being considered for a wet lease from European airline Norse Atlantic, while negotiations are also underway to secure three additional aircraft on a dry lease basis.
Paperwork for the induction of the aircraft is reportedly progressing at PIA headquarters. The planned fleet expansion is aimed at increasing international flight capacity and improving connectivity between Pakistan, Europe and the UK.
