Sony has officially pulled the curtain back on the free games for the PlayStation Plus Essential tier in February 2026. Subscribers usually expect a fresh batch of three titles. However, this month brings a generous change. Sony is treating players to a surprise bonus game, bringing the total count to four.
The new lineup arrives on Tuesday, February 3. These titles will replace the January offerings and remain available until the March 2026 rotation.
The headliner for this month is the previously leaked Undisputed. This boxing video game features both single-player and multiplayer options. Although it earned mixed reviews at launch, it has built a dedicated fanbase. Its addition to the PS Plus lineup should do wonders for its player count this February.
Next up is Subnautica: Below Zero. This open-world survival game tasks players with exploring the oceans of an icy alien planet. While reviews were not quite as high as its predecessor, it remains a strong entry in the survival genre.
Ultros joins the list as a sci-fi Metroidvania title. It earned a similar reception to Subnautica: Below Zero and appeals strongly to fans of the genre.
Finally, the surprise bonus game is Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. Originally released in 2019, this combat flight simulation game earned mostly positive reviews. Interestingly, it sits in a niche genre but offers high quality for fans.
PlayStation Plus Free Games for February 2026:
| Game Title | Platform | Genre |
| Undisputed | PS5 | Sports / Boxing |
| Subnautica: Below Zero | PS5 / PS4 | Survival |
| Ultros | PS5 / PS4 | Metroidvania |
| Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown | PS4 | Flight Simulation |
This lineup is particularly interesting for PlayStation 4 owners. Sony previously warned subscribers that it would stop guaranteeing free PS Plus games for the PS4 in 2026. Despite this warning, gamers on the older console can still snag freebies with no problem this month.
In fact, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown only has a native PS4 version. It was never ported to PS5. Furthermore, both Subnautica: Below Zero and Ultros include native PS4 versions.
Before the new games arrive, you have a final opportunity to claim the January 2026 lineup. These titles are available until Monday, February 2.
The January list includes:
Subscribers had a generally negative reaction to the January selection. It will be interesting to see if the expanded February lineup, led by Undisputed and Subnautica, receives a warmer welcome.
