PM launches web portal for easy registration in Naya Pakistan Housing scheme

A whole host of announcements related to current and upcoming projects have been made by Prime Minister Imran Khan, including the introduction of legislation that makes it compulsory for businesses of all types to be registered. Additionally, he declared that easy loans will be provided for the construction of houses; a process that will officially be put into ruling today.

Making it mandatory for every business to register in the country will put them in the legal tax net and will allow the government to study business trends and the repercussions of those in Pakistan.

In a ceremony attended by Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar, Naya Pakistan Housing Authority Chairman General (R) Anwar Ali Hyder, Secretary Housing Dr Imran, and other senior government officials, the prime minister proceeded to launch the second phase of registration for the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme to provide affordable housing facility to the low-income sections of the population.

The main objective of the registration process introduced by the Pakistan Housing and Development Authority is to gather data from the masses in order to understand their needs and launch housing projects understandably.

Knowing that it will be difficult, or even impossible, for some applicants to visit the office, the prime minister also launched a web portal (www.nphp.nadra.gov.pk) for this purpose thereby enabling applicants to register from within the confines of their homes, aside from having the option to visit 7,500 NADRA E-Sahulat facilities across Pakistan.

The prime minister emphasized the importance of collecting housing needs data from the public and expressed his confidence and high hopes for schemes that would be launched all over the country to overcome the housing shortage being faced by the people, a figure that has risen to a troubling 10 million.

He went on to explain that the housing project has the potential to boost 40 other allied industries and will also provide sufficient opportunity to individuals who want to invest in these schemes. While he admitted that the construction of 5 million houses is not an easy task, PM Imran Khan insisted that the government has taken up the challenge to complete this immense task that is bound to have a positive impact on our current situation.
