The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has rescheduled the National Registration Examination (NRE) Step 1, moving it from October 11 to November 8.
The council announced the change in a public notice issued on its official channels. It said the exam date was revised due to unavoidable reasons but did not specify what those reasons were.
With the revised schedule, candidates registered for the exam now have an additional four weeks before the test is held. The PMDC has not announced any other change to the exam process in the notice.
The NRE is a licensing examination for medical graduates who have qualified from institutions outside Pakistan. Passing it is required for these graduates to obtain registration with the PMDC and practise in the country.
Candidates have been advised to follow the official notifications of the council for further updates.
