Poco has started teasing the M8x 5G, giving us an early look at the company’s next budget smartphone. While Poco has not shared the full specifications yet, a Flipkart teaser has revealed its chipset.
According to the teaser, the Poco M8x 5G will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset. However, the source claims the phone will instead feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 SoC. This creates some confusion around the final processor.
The phone is also expected to feature a 6.9-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution. It could also support a 120Hz refresh rate, which would offer smoother scrolling and animations. In terms of memory, the Poco M8x 5G is tipped to include 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. The phone is also expected to run HyperOS 3 out of the box.
For power, the smartphone could pack a large 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The combination should provide solid battery life for everyday use.
Brar also claims the Poco M8x 5G will cost below INR 20,000. Poco has yet to confirm the phone’s full specifications, pricing, or launch details.
