Pokémon Scarlet & Violet players have a major reason to log back in. In just two days, on June 25, a massive 7-Star Tera Raid kicks off. This event features Hisuian Decidueye. Furthermore, this specific boss carries the rare Mightiest Mark and boasts six perfect IVs.
The End of an Era
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are nearing the end of their lifecycle. The game received its last ranked update in April 2026. Consequently, the competitive VGC scene has fully migrated. Major tournaments, including the NAIC 2026 and the upcoming World Championship, now take place exclusively in Pokémon Champions. The franchise is clearly clearing the runway for the release of Pokémon Winds & Waves in 2027. Therefore, this upcoming raid is a significant milestone for Generation 9 players.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Event Schedule & Exclusivity
This Hisuian Decidueye event is strictly unmissable. It represents the absolute last time players can catch this specific starter in these games. Otherwise, you must transfer it from Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
The raid begins on June 25 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET. It concludes exactly one week later on Thursday, July 2. This event marks the finale of a 30-week starter cycle that originally began on January 8. Following Decidueye, players will get one final shot at Hisuian Typhlosion on July 2, and Hisuian Samurott on July 9.
Best Counters & Prerequisites
You cannot just walk straight into this raid. First, you must unlock 6-Star Tera Raids. You achieve this by completing the postgame Academy Tournament. Then, you must finish about ten 4-Star or 5-Star Raids until Jacq calls you. Once unlocked, look for the Black Crystal Tera Raids scattered across Paldea.
Hisuian Decidueye features a Grass Tera type. During the battle, it automatically uses Bulk Up on the second turn. Therefore, you need specific, hard-hitting counters. Ceruledge and Skeledirge stand out as the absolute best options. Both deal super-effective damage while healing or boosting their own stats.
However, Skeledirge is the optimal pick. Its hidden ability, Unaware, completely ignores Decidueye’s Attack increases from Bulk Up. Remember, you can only catch this Mightiest Mark Decidueye once per save file. Still, you can battle it repeatedly. Farming the raid rewards you with highly valuable endgame loot, including Herba Mystica.
