Published by

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced that it will remain closed on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day, a public holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan to express unity with the people of Kashmir.

In an official circular issued on Monday, PSX informed all stakeholders about the closure of trading operations for the day.

“All TRE Certificate Holders, staff and concerned are hereby informed that Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Thursday, February 5, 2026, being a public holiday declared by the Government of Pakistan on the occasion of Kashmir Day,” the circular stated.

Trading activities across all PSX platforms will resume as per the normal schedule on the next working day.

Kashmir Solidarity Day, observed annually on February 5, is dedicated to showing support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The day highlights Pakistan’s stance on the Kashmir issue and honors the ongoing struggle of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination.

Across Pakistan and in Kashmiri communities worldwide, rallies, seminars, and special events are held to reaffirm solidarity and raise awareness of human rights concerns in the region.
