PUBG Update: Version 3.8 steampunk Frontier Rolls Out Globally

PUBG Mobile has officially begun rolling out the highly anticipated Version 3.8 Steampunk Frontier update without server interruptions on May 8. According to developers, the PUBG update will be available to all players by 11:00 (UTC+0), although slight schedule changes could occur. Any adjustments will be announced promptly.

PUBG Update 3.8 Highlights: New Mode and Exclusive Rewards

The latest PUBG update introduces a brand-new themed mode crafted through an exciting collaboration with Attack on Titan. Players will experience the thrill of transforming into Titans and flying across the battlefield with ODM gear in an adrenaline-filled adventure.

Players who update PUBG MOBILE before May 14 (UTC+0) will receive special rewards, including 3,000 BP, 100 AG, and the limited-time Cogwheel Express Theme (3d).

New Steampunk Frontier Mode Overview

The PUBG update 3.8 unlocks Steampunk Frontier mode, available from May 7 to July 6, 2025 (UTC+0), across Erangel, Livik, and Rondo maps in both Ranked and Unranked matches.

This new mode brings a full steampunk twist to the battlegrounds, featuring:

• Aetherholm: A vast central train station where players can summon trains using blue and gold Aethercore Containers. The gold ones provide better loot, and a hidden room awaits atop the clock tower via a secret elevator.
• Cargo Hub: A cargo transit area divided into large and small urban sections connected by railway tracks for quick movement.
• Utgard Castle: A faithful recreation from Attack on Titan where Titan attacks dynamically destroy towers.
• Hot Air Balloons: Floating observation points scattered along the railways and wilderness, allowing players to ascend and glide.
• Train Platform: A rural station where players can gear up.
• Rollercoaster Checkpoint: A fun mini-attraction for friends to ride and capture memories.

Themed Items and Titan Transformations

PUBG update 3.8 also introduces new themed items:

• ODM Gear: Found in crates, shops, or lying on the ground, this gear lets players soar through the air using grapples and gas-powered retraction. Blades are also included for aerial attacks. Gas can be refilled by picking up new ODM gear or gas cylinders.
• Titan Serum: Consuming this grants players a Titan transformation, offering massive health boosts and unique abilities like leaping and area melee attacks.
• Attack Titan Serum: A special version granting enhanced power compared to regular Titans.
• Steam Glider: When players jump from high places, they’ll deploy a stylish Steam Glider instead of a standard parachute.
• Steam Coins: Earnable by riding trains, these coins can be exchanged for gear and supplies at Clockwork Attendants and Merchants.
