he Punjab School Education Department (SED) has launched a new School Monitoring App to improve transparency, accountability, and oversight of educational institutions across the province.
The application is designed to cover 60,015 schools, enabling education authorities to monitor student learning outcomes, teachers’ performance, and school infrastructure through a centralized digital platform. According to the department, the system replaces fragmented monitoring mechanisms with a unified solution to support data-driven decision-making.
The app includes features for tracking students’ academic progress, assessing classroom teaching practices, and checking school facilities. It also provides information about student enrollment, classroom availability, and the condition of school buildings.
The platform integrates monitoring functions for three organizations: the School Education Department (SED), Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA), and Punjab Education Foundation (PEF). Authorized users can log in using their CNIC and password, select assigned schools, and access sections covering student assessments, teaching observations, and infrastructure conditions.
The department expects the new system to strengthen school monitoring, improve transparency, and help authorities identify areas requiring improvement across Punjab’s education system.
