Punjab Traffic Police have announced that all driving licence services are now accessible through the Dastak Citizen App, integrating the DLIMS platform into a single digital system.
The Driving Licence Issuance Management System website has been migrated to the Dastak platform, allowing citizens to access licence-related services without visiting licensing centres in person.
Citizens requiring any driving licence service have been directed to download and install the Dastak application, which is available on the Google Play Store for Android users.
The Dastak app operates under the Punjab government’s “Maryam Ki Dastak” initiative, launched in June 2024 by the Punjab Information Technology Board to deliver government services at citizens’ doorsteps.
Since its launch, the programme has received 1.2 million service requests, of which more than 1 million have been successfully completed, with around 164,000 requests still being processed.
Thousands of trained Dastak facilitators have been registered across Punjab to ensure services are delivered to citizens accurately and within the committed timeframes set by the programme.
The initiative is currently operational across 40 districts of Punjab and offers 76 government services, including domicile certificates, birth certificates, copies of FIRs, and property documents.
Citizens can access all available services either through the Dastak Doorstep Delivery App or by contacting the dedicated government helpline at 1202 for assistance and service requests.
PITB stated that the programme is transforming public service delivery across Punjab by reducing unnecessary office visits and improving both administrative efficiency and convenience for citizens.
