Punjab Police introduced a new mobile application enabling residents to report lost identity documents directly from home without visiting police stations or service centers.
The application allows citizens to register complaints for missing identity cards, passports, and driving licenses, with reports processed digitally and delivered to homes after submission.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the service, stating the initiative reflects her commitment to modern technology and improved public convenience through streamlined digital services.
Officials confirmed the app will reduce time, financial costs, and stress for residents by eliminating queues and manual procedures traditionally required at police stations.
Earlier this week, Punjab Police made biometric verification compulsory at every police station, requiring all complaints and accused persons to be verified before formal registration.
Authorities have directed that all police stations across the province activate the biometric module within the Police Station Record Management System for full integration.
Every police station has been given seven days to ensure biometric devices are available, with officers asked to inspect existing equipment stocks.
The initiative will also record attendance of police personnel through the same biometric system, covering both staff and members of the general public.
