Redmi has confirmed more details about the upcoming Redmi K100 Pro series before its official launch in China on August 11. The company has now revealed important specifications for the new phones, including the chipset, display, and other hardware features.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It will also include a dedicated D2 display chip to improve screen performance.
Earlier, Redmi confirmed that the K100 Pro Max would feature a 6.9-inch display. The company has now shared more details about the panel. It will offer a 2K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate. The display will also use M11 AMOLED luminescent material.
In addition, Redmi says the screen can reach a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. This should improve visibility when using the phone outdoors or in bright lighting conditions.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max also keeps a familiar design. It looks similar to the previous Redmi K90 Pro Max. The phone will continue to feature the Bose-powered woofer built into the rear panel.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has already started accepting pre-reservations for the Redmi K100 Pro series through its official online store in China. The company is expected to reveal more details about the lineup before the official launch on August 11.
