A shocking robbery occurred in Islamabad’s Sector G-10/4 on September 13, 2026. A five-member gang targeted and looted the residence of two Chinese nationals. The robbers took off with a massive sum of Rs. 8 million in cash. They also stole important items, including the house’s DVR system. Furthermore, one of the suspects wore a police uniform during the heist.
A Well-Planned Home Invasion
The incident took place at House 593, Street 44, Sector G-10/4, located approximately 2.5 kilometers east of the local police station. The complainant is a Chinese national named ‘GAO TAN’, also known as Teddy. At exactly 12:15 AM, five unknown individuals forcibly entered his home. One suspect wore a police uniform, while the remaining four falsely claimed to represent government agencies.
First, the attackers held the two on-duty security guards, ‘Zohaib’ and ‘Abdul Basit’, hostage at gunpoint. Consequently, one robber stood guard at the main gate. Meanwhile, the other four suspects moved inside the house. They immediately gathered the residents’ cook, Sadaqat Ali, and their translator, Ali, into a single room.
Rs. 8 Million Looted from Chinese Nationals
The suspects stayed inside the house for an hour and a half. During this time, they thoroughly searched the premises. Ultimately, they discovered and stole Rs. 8 million in cash. Out of this stolen amount, Rs. 2.3 million belonged to GAO TAN. The remaining Rs. 5.7 million belonged to his friend, ‘LI YICHAO’, who was also present during the robbery.
Besides the cash, the robbers stole various cards and the security DVR system to cover their tracks. Before escaping, the criminals locked all the victims inside a room. They issued strict threats, warning that anyone who moved or resisted would be shot dead.
FIR & Official Investigation
GAO TAN promptly reported the crime later that morning at 03:00 AM. Accordingly, the Ramna Police Station registered FIR number 742/26. The police assigned E-Tag number RMN-9/13/2026-2537 to the case. Authorities filed the charges under Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) Sections 395, 170, and 171. These sections specifically address dacoity, impersonating a public servant, and wearing the garb used by a public servant.
The police have officially started investigating the case. Currently, relevant authorities have gathered evidence from the crime scene and launched a full investigation to apprehend the culprits.
