Russia has opened a new academic pathway for Pakistani students by inviting them to participate in the Open Olympiad of the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples (RUDN). Through this competitive process, successful candidates can secure fully funded education in Russia, making it a major opportunity for students seeking international higher studies.
According to the announcement, high school graduates and final-year university students from Pakistan are eligible to apply for the online stage of the Olympiad. The competition serves as a selection route under the Russian government scholarship quota, offering complete financial support to top performers.
Winners of the Olympiad will be granted free education at RUDN University, while runner ups will receive substantial tuition fee discounts. In some cases, discounted candidates may also be upgraded to fully funded seats if government sponsored places remain available.
Applicants are required to register online and submit scanned copies of their passport or national ID, along with their latest academic certificates and grades. After clearing the online test, shortlisted students will be invited for individual interviews as part of the final selection process.
An official familiar with the program stated, “The RUDN Olympiad is designed to attract talented international students and strengthen educational ties between Russia and partner countries like Pakistan.”
The initiative reflects growing educational cooperation between Pakistan and Russia, providing Pakistani youth access to globally recognized degrees in fields such as science, engineering, medicine, economics, and social sciences at one of Russia’s leading universities.
