Samsung’s latest flagship phones are now available worldwide. Today marks the end of pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 lineup and the start of open sales. Early demand shows strong momentum, driven largely by one clear winner.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra dominated pre-orders across major markets. Samsung says the Ultra model made up 70% of all global pre-orders. That figure matches earlier data from Korea. However, it falls short of the 80% share reported in the United States.
In contrast, the standard Samsung Galaxy S26 and the Samsung Galaxy S26+ trailed behind. Together, they accounted for the remaining 30% of pre-orders. While both models attracted buyers, they did not match the Ultra’s strong pull.
Samsung also shared fresh numbers from Europe. Pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 Ultra in the region jumped 20% compared to last year’s Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. At the same time, the Ultra expanded its share of total S26 series pre-orders by 10%. This gain came at the expense of the S26 and S26+ models.
Even so, the broader Samsung Galaxy S26 series performed well overall. According to Samsung, total European pre-orders surpassed those of last year’s Samsung Galaxy S25 series. That signals steady demand despite a challenging smartphone market.
Alongside the phones, Samsung introduced the Samsung Galaxy Buds4 series. The new earbuds were also available for pre-order until today. With global sales now live, Samsung will be watching closely to see if early momentum translates into long-term growth.
